Job description and responsibilities
- Responsible for the implementation and enforcement of all relevant EHS rules and regulations on site to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and client's EHS requirements
- To verify all workers assigned to various work activities possessed suitable qualifications and/ or have attended mandatory training with valid certificates/ permits
- To implement and enforce Permit-To-Work (PTW) system for all critical activities such as working at height etc
- To participate in the formulation and enforcement of Risk Assessments (RA) and Safe Work Practices (SWP)
- To advise Project Managers and site staff on matters related to EHS and fire prevention issues
- Review and revise of method statement and RA as and when required
- Investigate all incidents, submit accidents reports and recommend to Management for corrective actions to prevent recurrences
- Any other duties as instructed by the Manager or supervisor
Requirements
- Possess Advance Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Level B or equivalent as required under WSH regulations
- Possess relevant certificates and qualifications to develop risk management plan
- Willing to work in the construction industry and have good understanding on local EHS regulations in construction industry
- Knowledge as an internal auditor in ISO 9001, 14001 or OHSAS 18001 will be an added advantage
- Self-confident and able to work under pressure
- Good team player with positive attitude
